Presidents quilt Mrs. Richard Gluck and members of the Falrvlew Grange embroidered blocks of all the presidents of the United States on this quilt, on display at I*J. Wagner Home Interiors. The quilt was completed in eight months by the IS women. Their goal was to win a first place at the Indiana State Grange Association at Pokagon Park. Not only did they win in the state competition, but they received top honors at the national meeting in Spokane, Washington. The quilt will be on display for a few months. 'Winter Wanderer' coupons offered

“Many of Indiana's fine hotels and motels can be enjoyed this winter at substantial savings," said Lt. Governor John Mutz. The Indiana Department of Commerce’s Tourism Development Division and the Hook Drug Company are sponsoring the third annual “Winter Wanderer" coupon. The coupon offers a 25-50 percent savings on double occupancy room rates to 90 hotel-motel properties, including the six state park inns throughout the state. Persons wishing to attend college classes on Saturday only may choose from a variety of spring semester offerings at Indiana University at South Bend. Saturday classes sthrt on January 18, and run through May 3. Courses are offered atß:lsa.m., and 10:55a.m., to permit a student to take two courses each Saturday. Several courses begin at 9a.m. The schedule for spring semester includes English composition, business and professional speaking, astronomy, introductory psychology, basic algebra, and macroeconomics. Two computer courses are being offered: “The Computer in Business” and “Computer Programming: Using Basic”. Also offered is “University Life Seminar”, a course designed to assist the new or returning student develop study skills required for successful college work.
