the Leesburg-Milford areas most of his life. Gloria A. Haeck Oct. 7,1954-Jan. 2,1981 Gloria A. Haeck, 26, 326 Hope Blvd., Bremen, was fatally injured in a two car crash which occurred Friday afternoon, at the intersection of Pterce and Beech Roads, in St. Joseph County. Mrs. Haeck was a passenger in a car driven by Gayle Graverson, Wakarusa. The Graverson vehicle ran a stop sign, according to police, and was hit broadside by a car driven by Terry Stump, Wakarusa. Two other passengers in the Graverson auto were treated and released from Elkhart General Hospital. There were no other injuries. Mrs. Haeck was born October 7,1954, at Mishawaka, to Richard and Margo (Christman) Andrews, and was a lifetime Bremen community resident. She was married June 8, 1974, at Plymouth, to Dennis L. Haeck, who survives. She was president of the Bremen Girls Softball League. Surviving with Mr. Haeck are two children, Kaylie and Klayton, both at home; her father, Richard Andrews, Bremen; her mother, Mrs. Margo Kline, South Bend; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Andrews, Bremen; a sister, Mrs. Terry (Gayle) Graverson, Bremen and a brother, Ricky Andrews, Nappanee. Services were conducted Tuesday at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, with Rfev. Robert Hueni, pastor of the Community Gospel Church, Bremen, officiating. Burial was at Bremen Cemetery.

Jason was bom June 29, 1980, in Elkhart. Surviving with his parents are his grandparents, Mrs. Sylvia Hochstetler, R 4, Napanee; Mr. and Mrs. Ira Mullett, R 2, Topeka; step great grandmothers Mrs. Elnora Slabaugh, Martinsburg, Ohio, and Mrs. Anna Mullet, Shipshewana. Bishop Levi Plank cdnducted services Saturday morning, at the Sylvia Hochstetler residence, and burial was at Weldy Cemetery. Albert J. Kurtz, Sr. Oct IT, 1903 - Dec. 27, 1980 Albert J. Kurtz, Sr., 77, of No. 37 Shamrock Meadows, Nappanee, died Saturday, December 27, at Elkhart General Hospital, where he had been a patient for four days. He fornerly resided in North Webster. Born October 11, 1903, in Grand Rapids, Ohio, he was the son of Charles F. and Jessa Mae (MJnnock) Kurtz. He married Helene Wagner on February 14, 1925, and she survives. Mr. Kurtz was a retired plasterer, having worked in the Toledo, Ohio area. Marion St., Nappanee, died Monday, December 29, at her home, after an illness of one year. Bom January 24, 1928, in Nappanee, she was the daughter of Floyd and Mary Ercell (Cole) Metzler. She married Dr. James C. Miller on September 29, 1950, in Nappanee, and he survives. Also surviving are a son, James C. Miller 111, Elkhart; a brother, LaMar Metzler, Nappanee; two sisters: Mrs.Victor (Norma) Grayson, Mishawaka, and Mrs. Don (Mary Alice)Plymale, Kokomo, and a granddughter. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Nappanee United Methodist Chruch, where she had served as choir director. Rev. Jay Morris conducted graveside services Wednesday morning at South tJnion Cemetery. He was married March 1, 1940 at Mishawaka to Donna Deisch, who survives. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkhart * } Also surviving are two children: Diana (Mrs. Kent) Stuckman, Nappanee; and Michael Wargon, Elkhart; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Smith, Granger; and Mrs. Marguerite Fleck, Bourbon. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Services were conducted Wednesday at Mishler Funeral Bremen, with James P. Nickel, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Chjirch of Elkhart, officiating. Burial was at Bremen Cemetery. James Wooddell Mrs. Alice Dumph was called to Ohio, Sunday, January 4, due to the death of her brother, James Albert Wooddell. He was 71. Mr. Wooddell and his wife had visited in Nappanee quite often, and their last visit was over the Labor Day weekend. Mr. Wooddell had been in ill health for the past year, and was critical for the past month. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn, two daughters, four sons, a brother and three sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Dumph, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rohr and family, ha<f just visited with Mr. Wooddell in Ohio on Friday and Saturday. Services were to be held in Ohio.
