Everyone in the community 'who enjoyed last week’s Apple Festival owes a big “111801(5!” to members of the festival committee, who worked long and hard to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever—and they succeeded! The weather was gorgeous, the edibles delicious, the concessions and entertainment enjoyable, and the overall festive atmosphere of the community added the perfect touch for a fall weekend. So thanks, committee, organizations and individuals who contributed in any way towards making the Apple Festival the success it was. We can hardly wait until next year! XXX The Dottsy Show at North Wood High School Saturday night was fun and entertaining, in spite of the small crowd. Dottsy appeared to be very much at home in a small community, enjoyed talking with the audience between numbers, and spent time after the show talking to persons and signing autographs. She’s a great entertainerwatch for her records. , XXX Pat Miner was the lucky lady who won the velvet and silk patchwork coverlet which was on display in the window at J&R Coppes. The coverlet, designed and created by members of the Embroiderer’s Guild, is a beauty. Congratulations, Pat.
