John Brademas (D) Congressman, Third District The League of Women Voters of the United Slates has given, Brademas' "Political Accounting Rating" a score of 100 per cent, according to the congressman. The rating was based on votes bn bills the League considers important, and on Brademas’ attendance at the votes. He urged the ICC to take more emergency measures than it already has. Earl Landgrebe (R) Congressman, Second District Landgrebe recently announced that a program of advance flood emergency measures is being undertaken by the Federal Government for the low lying areas on the shores of the Great Lakes. This program, known as “Operation Foresight”, will provide temporary protection lo areas where high lake levels and impending Spring storms pose a threat lo life and property. This will be accomplished by providing help to local interests to build temporary dikes where flooding is expected to accompany severe storms. v Christmas at Beatty To the Advance News: Every year about this time, it seems I get that “Bah Humbug” feeling. What with the rush-rush of hunting gifts, back orders, wrong orders shipped, and those last minute rushes to find one more present, I start wondering, what has happened to my Christmas spirit?' Then suddenly it is time to make our annual trip lo Beatty Hospital at Westville. To see the smiling faces on people who very seldom smile! To hear the happy chatter of people who very seldom talk! Santa Claus has come to see (he forgotten people at Westville! I think I feel that Christmas spirit returning. God bless you and Merry Christmas from all of the members and workers of the Mental Health Association in Elkhart County. Richard E. Cooper, President Board of Directors Mental Health Assn, in Elkhart County Cards sought by Beatty Hospital r A collection for unused Christmas cards is being made by the Elkhart County Mental Health Association for the Dr. Norman Beatty Hospital in Westville.
