'Christmas Guests Mr. and Mrs. Robert Douglas of Chelsea, Mass, spent Christmas week with the Rev. Tom Douglases, Columbia City, and the Olen Anglins, Nappanee. On Christmas Day Mr. and Mrs. Robert Douglas, Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Anglin of West Lafayette and Mr. and Mrs. Olen Anglin had dinner with Mrs. Anglin's mother, Mrs. George Gould, Elkhart. Visiting South Africa Mrs. Irene, Stackhouse and Brenda of South Bend are spending three weeks at Johannesburg, South Africa, visiting relatives. 25th Anniversary Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Buell Hoffer and Susan attended the 25th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Garman, near Atwood. Randy and Jeff Greenawalt spent New Year’s Eve and the remainder of the night with the Roscqe Loziers. After being hospitalized eight days and spending a week with her daughter, Mrs. David Wiseman, Mrs. John Bixler is now recuperating at home. A work day will be held Tuesday at the Camp Creek Church by the Ladies Aid. The Mt. Tabor WCSC will have a work day Wednesday at the Fellowship Hall. Several relatives from this community attended the funeral of Mrs. Harve Anderson, 96, at the Grossman Funeral Home Argos, Thursday. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery northwest of Bourbon. Delbert “Bud” Myers was the winner of the large family Bible presented Saturday evening at the Hepton Union Revival for having the most guests present. Mr. and Mrs. James Walters are now located at Weiser, Idaho where Mr. Walters has employment. He had been working the last several years at Payette, Idaho. Henry Jones celebrated his birthday Jan. 1. His mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Jones, was a dinner guest of Henry and wife, and their daughter, Mrs. Janice Braden and Tommy, were afternoon callers. Patrick and Darla McCuen spent Wednesday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Merl Mikel. Wednesday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jones were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Marquart* New Paris. Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Jones of Mentone were Friday night visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Merl Mikel visited Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mikel and Mary Ellen Saturday evening. Willie, four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Walters, came to the home of his grandparents, Mr." and Mrs. Joseph Bower, Saturday evening to spepd a few days.

School principals will meet at NW in March Executives of Indiana Third District Elementary Principals, (Parke Lantz, Goshen; Kenneth Olin, Plymouth; Samuel Martin, Wa-Nee) met recently to make plans for the annual ITDEP meeting in March. The meeting will open at NorihWood High School with music provided by the Goldenaires. Two members of the Board of Health will make a presentation and lead in discussion. This will be followed by an address and a questionanswer period by members of the State Board of Accounts. After a break, the business meeting will convene to conclude the morning session. A luncheon will be held at the Holiday Inn in Goshen. After the meal, Dr. John Vaugh, Executive Secretary to Indiana Elementary Principals will give a talk; The meeting will close with an address by a speaker to be named at a later date.
Union Center Mrs. Roger Keiser 4-H News ””’ V On December 17, 1970, the Guys and Gals 4-H Club met at the Union Center School. The following officers were elected: President, Ron Davidhizer, Vice President, Linda Ecklebarger; Secretary - Treasurer, Brenda Loucks; News Reporter, Jeanne Anglemeyer; Music and Recreation Leaders, Doris Anglemyer and Phil Keiser; Health and Safety Leaders, Connie Burkholder with Gloria Davidhizer as assistant. Meetings will be held every third Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Union Center School. The dues are SI.OO. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hahn are Adult Leaders. Thursday afternoon the officers of the Union Junior BusyBees 4-H Club met with their leader, Mrs. Paul Rummel to work on their programs for the year. The club will be meeting the second Monday of each month after school at the Union Center School. The Senior Busy Bees 4-H Club will be meeting the first Monday evening of the month. Mrs. Lowell Hile is the leader. The Junior Happy Hustlers 4H Club elected the following officers for the coming year: President, Dale Newcomer; Vice President, Greg Garber, Secret-ary-Treasurer, Chris Grabill; News Reporter, Doug Kirkdorffer; Recreation Leader, Brad Eby; Song Leaders, Duane Stump and Kent Walter; Health and Safety Leader, David Neff. The adult leader is Max Newcomer and the group meets at the Union Center School the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. The Senior Happy Hustlers Club under the leadership of Richard Wysong meets at the same time. Mission Program Wednesday, January 13, the members of the Bethel Mennonite Church will take a program to the Hope Rescue Mission in South Bend. Family agency will meet ■ ■\ at Pierre Moran The Family Counseling Service of Elkhart County will hold its annual public meeting and community consultation at Pierre Moran. Junior High School, Elkhart’, on Monday, Jan. 18, at 8 p.m., Glen J. Wood, executive director of the agency announced recently. FCS staff members will dramatize a case depicting “The Counseling Process.” There will also be a discussion among audience and board members of community needs and FCS priorities. Seven Elkhart County residents will be elected to the FCS board of directors. The agencies activities over the past year will be reported, officers will be elected and a social hour will follow. The executive director has urged the public to attend. There is no admission fee for the meeting.
