Flotilla In Syracuse To Be On June 15 Plans to combine two summer celebrations in Syracuse did not materialize this year. There was talk of having the Police and Firemen’s Benefit and the Wawasee Flotilla during the same week, but committee members for both events decided against the plan. The Flotilla will be held ou June 15 and the Police and Firemen’s Benefit on July 8-12. Pla-mor A Fun Spot In The Area Pla-Mor is a one stop entertainment spot within the Opulent Oval which is attracting local as well as transient patronage. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Snyder, proprietors of the facility five miles west of Nappanee on U. S. 6 have converted 25 acres into a recreation area out of their 80-acre farm. Included in the 25 acres are seven acres of wooded campground with modern facilities. There are electric and water hookups at 100 campsites. A building where picnics and reunions may be held is available to groups, and there are tables and benches for 200 people, with grills for cooking. Children may use playground equipment, and for the angler there is a pay pond stocked with channel cat and trout. Fun features also include a miniature golf course and a driving range, an automatic baseball pitcher, and archery range. There is also a snack bar on the grounds serving soft drinks and sandwiches. Pla-Mor is open from the first of April until the first of November, with camping facilities open the year round.
