DECLARES DIVIDEND A regular quarterly dividend of 40c per share was paid today on the capital stock of the First National Bank of Elkhart County to stockholders of record as of March 19, it was announced by Wilbur E. Wright, President. Wright said that following seasonal patterns demand deposits of the bank contracted during the oariy part of the year and are expected to rise over the next several months. He said a significant -ise in operating expenses bad relulted from the higher rates of interest paid since January 1 on customer savings accounts and certificates of deposits. He stated that despite this increase, net operating earnings of 90c per share for the first three months were at a very satisfactory level. Wright said construction of the Osolo Office building is on schedule and that planning is progressing for opening that office this summer. JOLLYETTE EUCHRE The Joilyette Euchre Club met at the home of Linda Schmeltz, .Wednesday, April 10. Kate Yoder was co-hostess.
