UNION CENTER Mrs. Roger Keiser Mrs. Gertrude Mishler called on Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mishler Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hahn attended the Holstein Dairy Tour Tuesday in Ohio and Hudson, Michigan. Forty persons were on the tour. f Brian. Bruce and Brand Fuller ■'were week-end guests of Mrs. Amanda and Jasper Tobias. Sunday dinner guests at the Eli Slabaugh home were the Homer Miller family, the Dan Nigsley family, Louella Gladieux, Donna Hershberger and Dale Slabaugh. The Bethel Mennonite Church will be going to the Hope Rescue Mission in South Bend Wednesday April 10. Rev. and Mrs. David Wenger will entertain the Brethren in Christ ministers and wives of the area and , the Goshen Seminary students and wives Saturday evening at the Union Grove Brethren in Christ Church. Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Union Grove Brethren in Christ Church Rev. and Mrs. Marlin Zook of Goshen, missionaries from Japan will give the program. The program is being sponsored by the Christ Crusaders. The Roger Hahn family called on Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hahn of Warsaw Wednesday evening. Mrs. Robert Kent and Mrs. Arnold Ogle were Wednesday afternoon guests of Mrs. Paul Rummel. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Brubaeher and family called on the Harvey Moneyheffers Sunday afternoon. Mrs. George Reed and Mrs. Amanda Tobias called on Mrs. Mildred Disher Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. George Reed, Sr. called on Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Sheets Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Christian Schmucker is staying in Chicago with her brother, Walter Bollinger l of Wakarusa, who had open heart surgery two weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Freed called at the Dean Culp home Sunday evening. Kathleen and Wayne Rummel attended the County Holstein meeting Thursday evening in Goshen. Mrs. Robert Kent spent Monday evening at the Paul Rummel home. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Reed and Pamela were Sunday evening

Junior Busy Bee 4-H Club will meet Thursday April 11, at 3:45 p.m. at the school for tea for the mothers. Senior Union Busy Bees 4-H Club will meet Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m. instead of April 11. They will meet with Kathleen Rummel. Ladies Rural Club will meet Thursday, April 11 at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Laura Hepler with Mrs. Gertrude Mishler and Mrs. Loyal Stuckman as co-host-esses. Mrs. Ollie McDonald will have devotions. Mrs. Carlyle Frederick, Mrs. Edwin Andrews, Mrs. Lloyd Darkwood, Mrs. Gerald Mishler, Mrs. John Loucks and Mrs. Roger Keiser attended the Bible School Conference Saturday at Manchester College. Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Union Center Rev. Ross Noffsinger will give a Lenten message. There will be classes for the children also. Mother’s Study will meet Monday, April 8, at the home of Mrs. Oatherine Myers in Wakarusa. Mrs. Howard Burkholder and Mrs. Wendell Fisher will be co-hostesses. Mrs. Richard Rohrer will have devotions. Roll call will be “A Book I Want to Read” and Mrs. Lawrence Nusbaum will give a book review. There will be a bake sale after the program. Union Center Church Council will meet Tuesday. April 9 at 7:30 p.m. Union Center Church will have communion Thursday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Mrs. Nina Mishler ,Mrs. Maude Frederick Mrs. Roy Drudge and Mrs. Roger Keiser attended the Northern Indiana Women’s Fellowship Rally Tuesday at the Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren in Fort Wayne. There will be reception of new members by letter and baptism at the mornng worship service Sunday at Union Center. Wednesday evening, April 10, the Union Center Youth Choir and Rev. Ross Noffsinger will be giving a Pre-Easter service at the Union Grove Brethren in Christ Church. Union Township Farm Bureau
will meet Thursday, April 18. at 7:30 p.m. at the School. HOME ECHOES Mrs. Haskell Osborn will be hostess to the Nappanee Home Eohoes on Tuesday, April 9 at 2 p. m. Roll call will be: A favorite rainy day project. The lesson will be given by Mrs. W. H. Baker on “Program Planning”.
