There was plenty of noise last week when the kindergarten class paid a visit to the fire station. Everyone always wonders why the sirens are blowing.

Community Center Mrs. John Applegate Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Disher attended a teachers’ get-together at Itihe M & M Oafe Wednesday evening. Eighteen teachers and 3 guests were present. The installation service for Bro. Orville Kilmer at the Camp Creek Church Sunday morning was well attended. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur “Match” Hawley are on the stick list. A poem was given by Colleen Gall and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hartzeil • sang at Hepitom Union Church Sunday morning. Mrs. John Thomas’ callers last week were Mrs. Harvey Yoder and Wayne Thomas. Special recognition of those who have been members o-f the Mt. Tabor Church twenty-five years and over will be made next Sunday. It is also planned to dedicate the three-quarter ton truck which the church members are sending ito the new mission field in Haiti. A pciluck dinner will be held at Ithe Boon-hour. Adult leader at the mid-week worship service at Mt. Tabor Thursday wil be Frank Hepler. “Sex and Planning a Marriage” will be the youth topic. Special music was given at Mt. Tabor Sunday morning by the Gospel Messengers Quartet of Findlay, Ohio, and Miss Kathleen Hepler who sang. The quartet members were entertained Saturday night in the homes of Max (Martin and Erneslt Good. Graduates from Nappanee High School who were honored at Mt. Tabor Sunday morning were Christine Ann Wise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wise, Lucinda Riae Yoder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Yoder, Jr., and Allan Dewayne Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wood. Warsaw High School graduates honored were Robert James Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Wood, and his fiance, Edna Young. Kathleen Hepler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Hepler, is graduating from Manchester College and

Sundlay dinner gusesit of the Merl Mikels were the Jay Weltys, the Truman Georges, Diana McCuen and Mindy Flowers. Floyd Iffert, 58, who resided southeast of New Parts, died at the Goshen General Hospital Friday and final riites were held Tuesday a‘t the Rielth Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, New Paris. He is survived by his mother and two sisters. He never married. Mr. Iffert picked up milk in this community for the New Paris Creamery about thirty years ago. PLEDGES SORORITY (Candace Hockert, 157 E. Main St., Nappanee, was pledged by Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority at Indiana University in open rush this spring on the Bloomington campus. To participate in open sorority rush students must be at least second-semester freshmen. Formal rush for other freshmen and upperclassmen was held earlier this semester. There are 20 social sororities at I.U.

ROTARY NEWS The Nappanee Rotary Club had as a recenit guest Don Wisner, a group social worker from Oakawn Center in Elkhart who gave a de l tailed account of mental illness and methods and techniques used to treat it. Mr. Wisner received his training at Bluffiton College and at the University of Michigan. Guests included Craig Hyer from Carry, Pa., Earl Roose, Gohen, Wayne McDonald from Shelbyville, 111., Ron Braatz, new manager at Schultz Bros., and Ren Metzler. Wednesday’s meeting was to be Gene Heckaman to explain the operations of Heckaman Manufacturing and tell about the new Phoenix line.
