more heau'Mil this summer. Mrs. Eugene Newcomer had a pleasant surprise last weekend, her brother, SPS Everett Boyer, and his family, from Fairfax, Ya., arrived for a short visit. Mrs. Newcomer hadn't seen him for over two and a half years, so it was a happy reunion. Sunday, 33 members of the family gathered at the Newcomer home for a dinner and visit with the Boyers. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Doering returned to Nappanee recently after spending several weeks in Mesquite, Texas, visiting their daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Neal. Accompanying them on their trip was another daughter and her husband, the Lamar Pfeserles, of Bremen, who motored on to California to see the sights. The Doerings attended a Sportsmen’s Show in

Have any space ships or flying saucers landed ip your back yard lately? I understand that Danny Metzler is patiently waiting for his first one. (little Dap) It’s a good thing that we’re on vacation this week because half or more of pur teaching force is in dire peed pf a rest. The men made up two teams last week and played volleyball against each other; the next day the secret pass word was “Stiff”. As Mr. (Wave'lla said, they ought to play twice a week or once a year. I never did find out who the captains were, but I do know that the team Mr. Olivella and Mr. Carter were on lost. My heartiest congratulations go to the new members of the National Honor Society. (On the third attempt, Mr. Fredericks got them announced correctly over the intercom; it’s a good thing that the “third time is charm”) The seniors selected were Viola Chupp, Barb Guard, Torn Greene, Lynda Lehman, Carolyn Thompson and Beth Walters. The juniors were Nancy Berger, Anita Conrad, Kirk Eiahenberger, Jane Eindig, John Ruhl and Karen
