Pletcher's Wins First Round In lIAA Tourney Pletcher Furniture’s basketball team won its first round game in the Indiana Independent Athletic Association tournament over Kemper’s of Michigan City by the score of 107 to 101. Kemper’s was the defending champion from last year’s tourney. The local team trailed by two points at both the half and three quarter marks, but rallied in the fourth quarter for the final six point margin. Sheffield led the scoring for Pletcher’s with 22 was followed By StaVSrman with 19, Samelton with 17 and Lee with 15. Their next game will be played today (Thursday) at 8 ,p.m.‘ with the Mr. Happy Burger team from, Logansport. The game will be played in the Emmons school gym on South Main Street in Mishawaka. Cathy and Douglas Stutzman, bhildxen of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin L. felutzsman, took their Junior Bar Dance test in amateur roller skating on Monday, March 21, at Mar ion. The test consisted of three dances, Carlos Tango, Straight Waltz and the Country Polka. Upon completion of the test they teceived the USARA Junior Bar Pin.
