Legion Celebrates Its Birthday At the banquet observing the. 4Sth birthday of the American Legion, Commander Hap Hossler honored two iri embers of the Ngppanee Post who have had 45 years of continuous membership, Guy Phend and Jonas Yoder. Lowell Hartman and Bill Gantzhorn were honored for 20 years continuous membership. The dinner was a semi pot luck with the Legion Auxiliary preparing the chicken. Auxiliary president Wave Cleveland was introduced as were other officers and guests. The speaker was Bill Franagan, Past Department Chaplain. He has been active in combating the Civil Liberties Union’s attempt to alter th* use, of the War Memorial in
