Mrs. Best Has A Wonderful Week Mrs. Idola Best is still “in the clouds” over her trip to Florida which she won as first prize in a national hobby contest sponsored by Norman Brokenshire, well known radio commentator. She and a good friend, Mrs. Blanche Widmoyer, left Monday, July 30. They flew from O’Hare to Tampa, where they were met by Mr. Brokenshire. They were taken to Lehigh Acres, Florida, where as Mrs. Best says, they were taken everywhere and were honored in countless ways. Mrs. Widmoyer said, “The red carpet was really out.” Lehigh Acres is described as one of the fastest growing acres in the State. Both ladies said that their accomodations were exceptional. Among other activities, they visited the Sun Land School for the Retarded, were special guest 9 at a dinner given by the Civitan’s Club, saw the auditorium from which Mr. Brokenshire broadcasts. They were presented with an LP record of the whole week. Mrs. Best was given a scroll by the National Association of Senior Citizens.
