Mr. and Mrs. John Pippenger and son and Mrs. Lucy Johnson were Christmas Eve supper guests of the Junior Pippenger family. Mrs. Marie Benson of Gans, Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Bob Benson of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Darkwood were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Darkwood and Thelma Martin. The Homemakers Guild will meet with Mrs. Edwin Andrews on Thursday evening, January 4 at 7:30. Kathryn Umbaugh will give devotions.' Roll Call will be answered by giving a New Years Resolution. Each member is asked to bring something for a white elephant sale. The Ladies Rural Club will meet Thursday afternoon, January 11 at the home of Mrs. Max Clouse. Devotions will be given by Ollie McDonald. Roll call will be answered by “A New Years Resolutions ril probably Break.” Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Postma were involved in an accident in Alabama as they were returning from Florida. The accident was caused by icy roads. Both are hospitalized but improving satisfactorily.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hahn and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Treesch visited Mr. and Mrs. John Hahn and family at Morton, Illinois over New Year’s Day. Mrs. Forrest Postma called on Mrs. Ira Mishler on Sunday after noon. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cripe and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Stahly called on Mr. and Mrs. Norman Shrock and family on Saturday evening. Sunday afternoon Mrs. Russell Stahly called on Mrs. D. I. Stahly at the George Bus home. Rev. Steve Yoder and sons, Glen and David, spent the week-end in Plain City, Ohio. Rev. Yoder preached at the Amish Mennonite Church there. David Miller, R. R. 3 of Norfolk, Va. surprised his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ephriam Miller on Friday by a surprise visit. He will return to the post of January 9, returning by the way of Harrisonburg, Va., where he will visit his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe King. The Ephriam Miller family and Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Miller and daughter were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cephas Yoder. Council meeting of the Union Center Church will be held on Tuesday evening, January 9, at the church. Mothers Study Club of the Union Center Church will meet at the home of Lorena’ Fisher on Monday evening, January 8. The Topic will be Stewardship—Food for the Body and Soul.' The Salem Church is among the churches of this territory who plan to meet Friday at Wakarusa and can meat for relief. This project is sponsored by the M. C. C.
