Several stores are now staying open on Thursday afternoons. Newcomers and Lehmans are, and Pletchers will be, according to reports. The Village Shop was open last week. A good old American breakfast of ■ L>acon and eggs. Foodtown’s Kingan bacon is sliced just the way our family likes it. I imagine several men will get into Newcomer’s to look at their collection of diamond rings. They also do a beautiful job of having old stones re set in beautiful taste. Nundmaker’s has some good lean pork chops, priced right for the budget. The Boston Store is clearing out men’s slacks, and there are some good bargins. Wonder how Miller’s IGA always manages to get such fresh looking celery, which is a standard item at our house. Warren’s has an attractive sale on sport shirts with a chance to pick up a second one with the purchase of one. We’re having liver and onions.
