Bulldogs even their season record at 3-3 last Friday by defeating a game but green Concord eleven, 45-7. Starting their first season of varsity competition, the Minutemen were unable to cope with the aerial barrage unleashed by Bulldog qbs Tod Lehman and A1 Hand. The first Nap TD came early in the first quarter following a 22 yard Lehman to end Ron Kendall pass that put the Bulldogs in scoring position on Concord’s 7 yard line. Lehman went over two plays later from two yards out but his run for the extra point was. not good and Nap led, 6-0. The Bulldogs tallied three times in a big second period, and pass interceptions by Nap’s alert defense led to two scores. Nap went ahead 13-0, on a 28 yard aerial, Hand to Stickle, with Dana falling over the goal line as he caught the ball for the TD.

Stickle kicked the first of three consecutive points, after, _ the TD. Lehman set Up the third TD by intercepting a Concord aerial and running 37 yards to Concord’s 28. On the first play, Tod hit Weddle with another scoring aerial and Stickle added the extra point to make it 20-0. Guard Ralph Tobias picked off another Concord pass and with some fancy broken field running returned it to Concord’s 18 yard line. The Bulldogs moved to a first down on the five, and from that point Lehman hit Stickle with a pass right over center for six points. Stickle kicked again to put the Bulldogs out in front, 27-0, ,at halftime. Napscordd their fifth TD in the third period as Weddle plucked another Concord aerial out of the air and outran six pursuers on a 60 yard TD run. This time Stickle missed the extra point. Halfback Jim Cray’s 30 yard run put the Minutemen deep in Bulldog territory. A pass from QB Ron Yacuk to end Dave Enz put the ball on Nap’s six yard line and Yacuk sneaked over from three yards out for the TD. Fullback Chuck Youngman ran the extra point over. Friday night, Nap plays host to rival Bremen. This will be the fourth meeting of the two teams, and the Bulldogs have been victorious in two of the three previous contests. Anything can happen when these two teams meec on the gridiron, and this could be another thriller from start to finish. Bears Take Lead In Boys Flag Football

Greene Pontiac Wilts Mens Flag Football league Greene’s Pontiac defeated the Whiskerville Allstars Sunday 4218 to win the 1961 Men’s Flag Football crown. Dale Fink and Jim Pippenger tallied 2 TD’s each as Lowell Clipp, Fred Hockert and Kent Beehler crossed the goal line once. For the losers who played with 5 men Pete Holz scored twice and Jim Lutes cashed in one T. D. Neither team scored an extra point in 10 tries. Marty’s Body Shop won a for-, feit from the Jaycees 4-0 and defeated a makeup team composed of Jaycees and Untouchables by a score of 7-0. Chuck McFall galloped 60 yds- for the only touchdown of the game. Final Standing. However, the actual number of teams to be entered will not be ready for announcement until around Nov. 1. Plans for the operation of the league were discussed and it was decided to hire officials at $2.00 per game, teams to start practice Monday, Oct. 23 at community building, a tournament at the close of the season, that each team be composed of twelve men, and that the roster be completed by the fourth game. It was also decided that the teams be classified under A and B divisions.
