The baby weighed 5 lbs. 9 oz. and was in the hospital for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Hollar called on the Otis Stines at Bremen, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Nissley and three sons of Goshen were Thursday supper and overnight guests of Dan Nissleys. ATTEND WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Sam Miller attended the wedding of Joe Kauffman, Middlefield, Ohio, and Lena Burkholder at the home of the bride, Thanksgiving day. Enos Yoder of Nappanee was a dinner guest of the Henry Mullets and sons, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Yoder and the Eli Hochstetlers were Thursday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hochstetler. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Miller, Middlebury, the Noah Millers and Freeman Millers, Topeka, the Jake Millers, and John Troyers, Shipshewana, Ezra Millers, Burr Oak, Mich., Lydia Miller, Middlebury, Alvin Yoders, and Mrs. Esther Hochstetlers. . Della Grimm of South Bend, spent Wednesday thru Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George Grimm. Mrs. Don Hartzel and children, and Otis Stines called Lavern Hollars, Friday.

THANKSGIVING GUESTS Mrs. J. C. Bock and Carl spent Thanksgiving day at the Lester Kuhn home in Lakeville. A daughter, Priscilla Hulvey, called in the evening from Mt. Sidney, Va. and Mrs. Harold Bock sent a special delivery letter to let them know the family was all well in Oregon. Sunday guests at the Bock home were the Edward Bock family, Middlebury, Howard Bock family, Warsaw, and George Henry Bock family, Columbia City. A Thanksgiving dinner was served the 14 members of the group. Honored with three birthday cakes was 8 year old Russell, son of the Howard Bocks, who was born Nov. 27, 1952 on Thanksgiving day. PVT. STANLEY THOMAS COMPLETES DIESEL SCHOOL Pvt. Stanley D. Thomas, whose wife. Rita, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale B. Thomas, live on R 1, has completed the 11-w'eek diesel engine repair course at Engineer School, Fort. Belvoir, Va. He was trained to repair fuel injection systems, diesel engines and auxiliary starting motors on heavy engineer equipment, such as crane-shovels, tractors, graders and air compressors. Thomas entered the Army last June and completed basic combat training at Fort Leonard Wood. Mo. The 19-year-old soldier is a 1958 graduate of Nappanee high school. GARY STUTZMAN GETS COLLEGE' LETTER Gary Stutzman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Stutzman, S. Summit, Nappanee, was among 31 boys, receiving football letters this season at Northeast Missouri state teachers college. A freshman, majoring in physical education, he was a quarterback on the 1960 team, which won the conference championship of Missouri Intercollegiate Athletic Association. This was his first letter at the college.
