Mrs John Applegate Attendance at Mt. Tabor Church of God Sunday morning was 157 when Rev. Walter Burch am brought the message on “Evangelism in the Church Program.” Types of evangelism mentioned were pulpit, visitation, educational, fellowship, social and family. We must see Christ in all areas of service. Serving Christ gives our life “purpose.” Rev. Burcham’s admonition to all was “Speak thou the things which become sound doctrine.” Titus 2:1. Carolyn Yeager sang is a Wonderful Place.” At the evening service Mrs. Fred Hepler sang “Beautiful Valley of Peace” and the Burch ams sang “It’s Not an Easy Road.” Rev. Paul Sago of Ft. Wayne underwent surgery recently, but expects to be able to conduct the two week evangelistic service at Mt. Tabor which is scheduled Nov. 8 to 22. News item of 20 years ago: “Jack Hepler, aged 83, often walks from his home in Pleasant Valley district to Community Center store and return, a distance of approximately four miles. He and his wife will make the trip and expect to visit the N. G. Mahalles, an Indian couple who spent six months in Elkhart county six years ago.

CHURCH OF GOD MISSIONARY MEETING Church of God Missionary meeting was attended by 28 at the church annex Monday evening. It was a Harvest and Thanksgiving service. Response to roll call was miracles oi Jesus. “Meet a Missionary " was given by Mrs. Jimmie Hall. A playlet was presented by Ruth Fields, Arlene Sheets, Lea Hoffer, Mildred Wilson, and Lilly Frederick. Mary Alice Moore led devotions. Hostesses were Goldie Fletcher, Ida Hoffer, and Manda Fink.
