FIRE PROTECTION Trustee Charles Goss called a meeting of Locke Twp. Advisory Board at his home last Wednesday. A contract was signed with Olive Twp. for fire protection for residents of the northern part of Locke Twp. near Wakarusa. Daniel Metzler, Nappanee; Irven Stahly, east of the village of Locke; and Kenneth Weldy, near Wakarusa, are board members. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey M-cGowen dined Friday with their daughter and husband, the Carlyle Grimms. Rev. and Mrs. Donald Heer and sons of Bryaint dined Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Sheets. Former Resident Chas. L. Yoder Dies In S. Bend Charles L. Yoder, 75, Elkhart, died last Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ernest Litwiler, South Bend. He retired two years ago after 41 years as a railway mail clerk. He was barn in Nappanee Jan. 27, 1880 and married the former ALCOHOLIC ANOrY MO U S>, P.O. BOX 102, NAPPANEE, IND.

Pauline Berger in 1988, who proceeded him in death. Near the turn of the century, he was a teacher at Weldy school. He was a member of Elkhart First EUB church, and chief stewart since 1943. He also was a member of the Postal Transport Association. Surviving besides the daughter are two sons. C. Truman, South Bend, and Elwin C., Naperville, 111., a sister, Mrs. J. M. Long, Nappanee, and six grandchildren. Funeral services were in Elkhart Sunday in charge of Rev. W. W. Kennell. Burial was in Violett cemetery, Goshen. Read the classifieds.
