Salem Mennonite MYF have a street service at Toto in Stark county next Sunday. Singling class will meet at Salem Thursday at 7:30 p. m Young People met at the Brunk cabin this Tuesday evening and MYF of Benton Mennonite church gave the program. Amish Mennonite church will be in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Slabaugh, Sunday. Mrs. Bertha Reed, Goshen, arrived Friday for a few days with Mrs. Minor Leatherman. Dr. and Mrs. George Warner, Goshen, called Friday evening. Phillip, Michael, and Tony Torre, of Chicago, came Friday to spend several weeks with Rev. and Mrs. Francis Freed and family. They are from the Mennonite Mission in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Myiers, Mr. and Mrs Donald Flora, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Weaver of Salem church, also have “Fresh air” children from the mission for two weeks. A shower will be given for Mr. and Mrs. Albert Baker • Jr., at old New Paris gym Thursday evening. Mrs. Baker was Alice Keck, daughter of Merle and Verda Keck. Mrs. Bertha Reed and Mrs. Minor Leatherman, were dinner guests Sunday of Paul Lorenz family, near New Paris. Walter Bollinger family, William McKinnly family, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bollinger, Wakarusa, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wisler and daughter of Osceola, dined Sunday with Mr- and Mrs. Christian Schmucker. Mr. and Mrs. Alph Cripe of Chicago, and Mrs. Ed Hepler, Nappanee, had supper with Mr. and Mrs. Vern Cripe, Wednesday. Guests Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Hal Winters. Mrs. Chas. Kirkendorfer and daughter, Mrs. Peffley of /Goshen were there Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Zimmerman and children gave a carry-in dinner Sunday for 57 young people of Yellow Creek and Blosser Wisler Mennonite church. Tommy and Ronny Dean are visiting their aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Orus Eash, Traverse City, Mich, until Thursday. Tommy was there three weeks and Ronnie a Week. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Aniglemyer and children visited Harold Miller family at Elkhart Sunday evening. Mrs. Mary Gonigwer, Wakarusa, was a guest of the Anglemyer family Friday evening. Mrs. Elsie Stackhouse of Mt. Tabor was a guest Sunday of her sister-in-law, Mr- and Mrs. Ira Walters. Lewis Stump, New Paris, was a dinner guest Sunday of Mary Alice Wise and Mrs. Henry Umbaugh. Rosemary Sehutz, Bremen, and Mrs. Lawrence Sehutz, were there Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Sohutz and baby, Mrs. Umbaugh, and Miss Wise spent Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wise, Milford.
