This is a thrilling story well filmed and brings out some of the best acting in the career of the two stars and also brings to the front Richard Widmark, who as a coming star plays a wonderful part in the role of owner of the road house around which this story is written. This is one of the best pictures of the year and theatregoers should not miss the opportunity to see it. Friday and Saturday a double feature is being shown, the first, “Puddin’ Head”, starring Judy Canova and the second “The Far Frontier” with Roy Rogers and his famous horse “Trigger”. The Roy Roger picture is in trucolor and in the Roger supporting cast is found Andy Devine, Gail Davis, Roy Barcroft, Francis Frod and others that make this western story live on the screen. Randolph Scott is at his best in “Coroner Creek” showing at the Fairy on Wednesday and Thursday. Scott is always good in a western and in this he is exceptionally good. With a good supporting cast this star brings law and order to a western community where he went seeking vengeance for the life of a friend. The love of a truly western girl changes life’s future for the hunter of his friend’s killer and he accomplishes his job on the side of law and order. Scott has many screen admirers and they will see him at his best in this coming attraction.
