LOCKE NEWS The Locke prayer meeting and the Sunday evening service will be lifted this week and next at the Locke church in favor of the revival service at the Union Grove church. Sunday School at •9:30 and at 10:30 at Locke next Sunday. Mrs. Jesse Delcamp, of Goshen, Mrs. Harvey Bollman, of Nappanee, Mrs. Raymond Long and Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Long, were at Pinckney, Mich., on Tuesday of last week where they attended the funeral of Miss Carol Beachy, ten year old daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Ezra Beachy. A birthday supper was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Pletcher and sons on Friday evening in honor of Junior. The guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Lyle B. Hunt, of Marion, Ind., Mrs. Floyd Weldy and family, of Wakarusa and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pletcher. Rev. and Mrs. Ezra Beachy and fartily, of Pinckney Mich., and nephew Ivan Miller, of Goshen, were guests Saturday night of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Long. The Long family and guests were dinner guests on Sunday of Rev. and Mrs. Homer North, at Nappanee. R. O. A. TO MEET TONIGHT AT CITY HALL TO ELECT OFFICERS Troop school for the Nappanee Chapter, 56, of the Reserve Officer’s association will be convened at 7:30 tonight in the city hall. The ever pertinent subject of Leadership will be considered: Following the Troop School, the Chapter will hold its annual meeting for the purpose of electing and installing officers for the organization year and of electing delegates and alternates to the state convention. The nationwide military reserve program has been making giant strides the past few months and it of great importance to all former officers and enlisted men who wish to retain their former ranks by enlisting in the reserve program that they act immediatly to do so. Those desiring an active status in our great reserve army must apply before June 30, 1947 to retain their ranks held at discharge. Capt. Polley, of South Bend, Military District will be at the city hall in Nappanee on the night of March 27th to answer any questions and process all applications for enlistment in the reserve program.
