CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR TO VIBIT ELKHART COUNTY ON THURBDAY, AUG. 20TH A meeting of the executive committee of the Elkhart County Republican Central committee was held at Goshen on Tuesday evening. Plans for a county-wide meeting to be held at Elkhart on Aug. 20th, with Raymond Springer, republican candidate for governor of the state as the principal speaker were discussed and County Chairman Howard Inebnit appointed a committee to set the time, place and take care of necessary arrangements for the meeting. Mrs. Vera Berlin and Harvey Field of this city were named on this committee and Charles Larson of Elkhart Is the chairman. NAPPANEE WATER FILTER DEPARTMENT TO PLANT An electrical department has been added to the either departments af the Nappahee Water Filter company, Waldo Phen4 having been, employed and having charge of this department. In addition to the .water filter, water softener and roof paint business one can now have any kind of electrical work done ” through this company, such as motor winding or repairing, rewinding of motors or installing of equipment, rewiring, new wiring, etc. Another feature in this new department which may mean much to some of tne people will be the sale of used electrical equipment. Mr. Gall announces that anyone having electrical appliances , of any kind for sale if it is in usable condition or if it can be repaired and resold can bring it to the office of the company and it will be taken in.
