Anybody who ever kept a hen, or for that matter, anybody who ever ate an can find a class to which he is eligible to enter a dozen eggs in the 1931 Purdu§ Egg Show, to be held at Lafayette during the week of May 5. Eleven classes of competition have been announced by the- student committee,. composed of freshmen in the school of 'agriculture, in charge of show. | * These include classes foe grade school pupils, high school students, poultry fanciers, commercial egg producers, county agents and vocational teachers, universities and experiment stations, 4-H Club members, hatcherymen, farmers and college students" Ribbons, cups and cash prizes will be offered in each of the classes. No entry fee% charged for the showing of eggs, but unless the exhibitor requests the return of the eggs they will becotjne the property of the management. Eggs will -be judged on the basis of -external appearance, except in the commercial and hatcherymen’s classes, when they will be candled. Suggestions, for the selection of eggs for exhibition are contained in the catalogue and premium list, which will be Issued soon and will be In the hands of county agents and vocational teachers over the state. , „ . The exhibit will be open from May *5 to 8 during the time ot the annual 4-H Club Roundup at Purdue, which attracts more than 2000 club memhers and leaders each year, __
