The Erbaugh Chevrolet Sales is | largely responsible for the great number of Chevrolet ears that are seen on the streets of Nappanee and the roads leading to Nappanee. For this company has contributed to the 750,000 bigger and better Chevrolet j cars distributed since January Ist. years previous to that time he had been an insurance salesman in Kokomo, Ind. Starting life on a farm nufer. Peru, ind., Lewis grew to school age and ! beyond while living in a rural community. He attended a country grade 1 school and then high school at Onward, Ind., near Peru. After gradual-1 ing from high school, he worked for two years as assistant cashier and two years as cashier in the Cass County State Bank at Walton, Ind. In 1917 he enlisted in ’the army and spent eight months of the two years’ service, overseas, in the . Kith Division. 345th Field artillery, as regimental supply sergeant. After the war and discharge, he started as insurance, salesman in Kokomo. Paul Erbaugh also attended the. country grade school and the Onward high school, and then the Michigan agricultural college. He served as deputy state entompligist for 1 1-2 years, and then resigned io join the marines in 1917. Paul, also, spent two years in the service, one year: overseas in the . 2nd Division, sth Regiment, Marine Corps. After returning from overseas and being discharged he came to Bourbon where he assumed the management of the FTibley Department Stores company and eventually purchased an interest in the store. He disposed of this interest in 1.928, after organizing the Erbaugh Chevrolet Sales with his brother. Lew is had already been the Chev - rolet agent for one year at this time. After two and one-hall' years as salesman for the'Smith Motor company, lie took over the management of the Nappanee branch of the L. <£ M. Chevrolet “Sales, of Goshen.
