The building was filled to capacity both nights. They are to be congratulated for their success. The Holdeman S. S. Literary society was held Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bollinger. Rev. D. We are reviewing in all the grades for the examination which is to be held Thursday. Saturdays Ahna Anglin and Eileen Harmon go lo East Millwood to, take the eighth grade, examination. We hope they will have good luck. Talk about thirteen being an unlucky number, it doesn't seem to.be in our case for we started out last fall with thirteen pupils and now have eighteen. The Second grade are reading in the Third reader. The First grade are getting along fine. “ In spelling we have written spelling one week and oral spelling the next week. The cine who has the most head marks at the close of school gets a prize. HIGH SCHOOL AGRICULTURE The agriculture class of Nappanee high school is going to take part in some of the contests when they take the trip to Purdue, this spring, two of which will be the corn and cattle judging. The boys have had some experience in corn judging this winter when they won the contest at Wakartisa. , ■. .1 Last week the class tested some corn for Noble Fredrick which was all found to be good. He had twelve ears tested. ■ ■ Some of the boys are taking subscriptions to the magazines the class was selling a {gw weeks ago.
