ANNOUNCEMENTS OF' NAPPANEE CUCHES CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN. Perhaps the most Important Vvent recorded in American history took place July 4, 1779, when the Declaration of Independence was signed by Congress, and the laws of Great Britain cast aside. The hardship, sacrifice and bloodshed that followed is the price paid for the freedom of America, the best country in the world. John Adams rightly said in writing to his wife concerning the celebration of the day, that "it ought to* be commemorated us the day of deliverence, by solemn acts of devotion to Almighty God. The most important event in the history ot the world took place from 1 to 34 A. P., when the emancipation of the human race liberated us front the law of sin and bondage, at tremendous .cost. The constitution of the Kingdom of God, the sermon on the mount, planned by Him, is the greatest piece of literature ever produced. Its source and nature makes il worthy of the respect of all. Loyal obedience to the same brings.-liberty such as man cannot give. Why should one appreciate American citiIhat brings freedom indeed? We were thinking along these lines ot the Sunday Ambling service and it did us all good. Next Sunday will bo Children's day.
