What is to be done with these harness and whip stealers, who go around ransacking every buggy, taking blankets, robes and whips, and, not be'og satisfied with that, they now steal the^different parts of harness and cut the same to

Gastel, of Marion, Ohio, on the 28tb of last month. The brids and groom left on Thursday for their new home iu Ohio. Agaio, William Miller, of New Paris, to Miss Lydia Yoder ot this vicinity, by Rev. Shively, on Thursday Oct. 30ib. Again the last, but not least, on Oct. 30th, near Bristol, Lewis funnel, of this plaoe, to Miss Kate Haoao. Kate taught several terms of school at this in the past two years, and if she makes as good a wife sa she did a teacher, then ahe canuot be excelled io the couoty.... George Funk came to Mil ford about three weeks ago, begged a sweet pumpkin ; sold it for ten cents, invested that again at a profit, and so on until now. He has lived from that and now he has ten dollars in money. He is peddling notions now, and we need not be surprised if he beoomes a millionair.... Protracted meeting at the M. E Church all this week. Let every body go.. .Eliza Jane, with her holy band, visited J/ilford last Friday Dight, adif relieved herself of about ail she knew. We had quite a snow storm on last Sunday morning. If it should “winter up" there would be a great many fingers made cold by husking corn, as there is a large amount of corn to bo husked yet... .The Locke schools will open on the 17tb of this month, with Mr. Charles Strayer, of DeGrafF, Ohio, as principal, and Miss M. J. Ruckmao as primary teacher.... Mrs. Crowel is lying very low, with '.ut very little hopes of her recovering. Also John Berlin is lying very low, and as he is very old, there is bat little hopes of his ever getting well again.... Died . to Sunday, Got. 26th, 1879, Mrs. Peters, of Locke ; aged 57 years and some months. Funeral services were at the Yellow Creek Church on Mon day lolliwiog.
