One of the Cannon Keceivetl at Delphi. The Spanish cannon secured by Congressman Landis from the War Department has arrived at Delphi from Washington. Mr. Landis is in the West at present, and the exact disposition of the gun will not he decided until his return. It is probable, however, that the cannon will be placed in the northwest corner of the court house ya.-d. A handsome $10,000 soldiers' monument ornaments the southeast corner. His gun is of the rapid-fire pattern, and, dismounted, weighs (J00 pounds. It was made in 1S1, and was one of the few modern guns possessed by the Spanish at Santiago. It was a part of
the famous Kscopa battery, which was given the credit of sinking the Merri-mac.
