Argos Snaps. Wm. Everly was in town Tuesday on business. This week commenced with a very good beginning. The son of the proprietor of the Argos Retlector is sick. There will be a new telephone line built in this place. Mr. T. O. Taber is on the sick list this week, from an ;Utack of the grippe. Mrs. Bright, of Rochester, visited her husband in this place over Sunday. Sarber's new building will be ready in about two weeks for them to move into. Mr. Xewhouse died last week from an attack of the grippe; he was 18 years old. Quite a number of the Argos men are working in the Xovelty Works, at Plymouth. A poverty social was given at the residence of Rev. Weinbrenner Wednesday evening the 20th. Miss Clara Allen has moved her stock of millinery goods into the store of Mr. Krause for the present. Sleytor & Hess are prepairing their cellar for the election of a new building which they will move into. There will be about 500 or more bushels of seed sent from this section to the Xebraska sufferers. Miss Hattie Pickerl who has hi en sick for the past two years, has been taken to Ft. Wayne to the hospital. An Apollo Musical Club meets with Misses Delia and Sadie Krous, at Mrs (Juivey's residence next Saturday eve. Mr. Hudson, ot Mentone, talked to the people of this place last week in the M. E. church, his subject being ' Temperance." The new hotel which was to be erected here, has been given up from the looks of things at present. We hope not though. A. Yariek, the tinner, who formerly worked for Corey A: Alleman, has opened up a tin shop in the old Dewery building. Ed Turner expects to start out on the road with his new wagon formerly owned by a Mr. Handy, of Chicago. He sells notions. Corey c Alleman are preparing to build a brick building joining the Pickerel building, which will be occupied by Bowell & Bryan's butcher shop. As the spring's warm weather approaches, sensations of all kinds which have been frozen up all winter begin to show out for the courts. Victor Wickizer who has been working for his brother-in-law, at LaPorte, as barber, is thinking of starting a third barber shop in this place. Wm. Worthington has bought the barber shop under Ball & Carabin's store, in Plymouth, which was formerly owned by Chas. Turner. We wish him success. Miss Tina Bock who has been in the hospital at Ft. Wayne for a week, is improving very fast considering the nature of her illness and the operation which was performed.
