Frar E.icixi. Every man who has any interest in Plymouth, will admit that we should have a Fire Engine. We have spoken of this matter a t-um-berof times, heretofore. The Trusfeas have issued Bonds fr the purpose of buying an Engine, and now we propose that some of our moneyed men purcliase a sufficient amount of the Bonds to enable the Trustees to procure an Engine. Who will bo the first to bur fifty or a hundred dollars of these Bonds? ITWm.C.Ei'VARDS has received the appointnnt of Post M.iätfr at this place, vice John K. T - t The Gmmz Law. A few weeks ago wc made mention of what seemed to be a very aggravated c, caused by a 'law-abiding citizen informing ok a man front Stark County, who had in his possession m venison or two that had keen killed alter thr 'law come.' The gentleman who 'informed, called on us the other day and gave a detailed account of the whole natter, and in justice to him we give hi hi the ben efit of his explanation. He said he did not inform cm him because he needed the money, but because e was roaxfrfand dared to do it, by two men who received a part of the money. He said he found out the condition of the man's family, and paid back all be received except a dollar or two, and intends to pay that the next time Che man comes to town. He raid it was the first thing he ever done that he regietted, and he would grve fire hundred dollars rather than do it again. Open confessions are said to be good for the soul, aid we think he should be entirely exculpated from amy blame, if his statement is true. 3tJ"We failed to receive paper in time tor work the ffrst side of our paper till Tuesday night, in conecquenc of which we have been thrown' behind with this issue. We loosed our Devil for a 'littlo season, laat Saturday, aince which time he has been 'roaming op and down the earth.
