Keep in Good Humor. It is not great calamities that eiuLitter existence, it is the petty vexations, small jealousies, the little disappointments, the minor miseries, that make the heart heavy and the temper sour. Don't let them. Anger ia a pure waste of vitality, it is always foolish and always disgraceful, except in some very rare cases, when it is kindled by seeing wrong done to another, and even that noble rage seldom mends the matter. Keep in good humor.
No man does his best except when he is cheerful. A light heart makes nimble hands, and keeps the mind free and alert. No misfortune is so great as one which sours the temper. Until cheerfulness is lost, nothing is lost. Keep in good humor. The company of a good natured man is a perpetual feast; he is welcomed everywhere eyes glisten at his approach, and difficulties vanish in his presence. Franklin's indomitable good humor did as much for his country in the old Congress as Adam's fire or Jefferson s wisdom; he clothed his wisdom with smiles, and softened contentious minds into acquiescence. Keep in good humor. A good conscience, a sound ments of rood humor. Get thm and ue sure to Keep n a good humor. A. Wküt tt Co-, en (Mit box. Dr. MORSE, the inventor of MORSE'S INDIAN ROOT PILLS, has spent the greater part of hid life in traveling, having visited Uurope, Asia and Africa, as well aa North America has spent three years among the Indians of our Western country it was in this way that the Indian Root rills were first discovered. Dr. Morse was the first man to establish the fact that all diseases arise from IMPURITY OF THE BLOODthat ourstrength health and life depend upon this vital fluid. When the various passages become clogged, and do not act in perfect harmony with the different functions of the body, the blood loses its ation, becomes thick, corrupted and diseased; thus causing all pains, sickness and distress of every name; our strength is ex.haustcd, our health we are deprived of, and if nature is not assisted in throwing off the stagnant humors, the blood will become tho'ced and cease to act, find thus our light of life will be forever blown out. How important then that we should keep the various passages of the body free and open. And hotr pleasant to us that we have it in our power to put a medicine in you reach, vi-: Morse's Indian Root Tills, manufactured from plants and roots grow aronnd the mountainous cliffa in Nature's garden, for the health and recovery of diseased man. One of the roots from which these Tills are made is a Sudorific which opens the pores of the skin, and assists Nature in throwing out the rner parts o the corruption within. The second is a plant which i-? an Expectorant, that opens and undogs the passage to the lungs, and thu3 in a $oe thing manner, performs its duty by throwing off phlegm and other humors from the lungs by copiouj spitting. The third i3 a Diuretic, wbich gives case and double strength to the kidneys; thus encouraged, they draw larpc amounts of impurity fr( m the blood, which is then thrown out bountifully by the urinary or water passage, and which could not have been discharged in any other way. Tho fourth is a Cathartic, and accompanies the other properties of the pills while engaged in purifying the blood; the coarser partic es of impurity which cannot pas3 by the other outlets, are thus taken up and conveyed off in great quantities by the bowel. From the above it is shown that Dr. Morse's Indian Root Fills not only enter the stomach, but become united with the blood, for they find way to every part, and completely rout out and cleanse the system from all impurity, and the Iile of the body, which is the blood becomes perfectly healthy; consequently all sickness and pain is driven from the system, tor they cannot remain when the body becomes so pure and clear. The reason why pcoplo are so distressed when sick, and why so many die, is beco.use they do not get a medicine that will pass to the afflicted pat3, and which will open the natural passages for the disease to be cast out; hence, a large quantity of food and other matter is lodged, and the stomach and intestines are literally overflowing with the corrupted mass; thus undergoing disagreeable fermentation, constantly mixing with the blood, which throws the corrupted matter through every vein and artery, until life is taken from the body by disease. Dr. Morse's rills have added to themselves victory upon victory, by restoring millions of the sick to bloming health and happiness. Yes, thousands who have been racked or tormented with s.ckness, pain and anguish, and whose feeble frames have been scorched by the burning elements of raging fever, and who have been brought, as it were, within a step of tL silent grave, now stand readv to testify that they would have been numbered with the dead, had it not been for this great and wonderful medicine, Morse's In dian Root Pills. After one or two doses had been taken, they were astonished, and absolutely sur prised, in witnessing their charming effects. Not only do they give immediate ease and strength, and take away all eickn ess, pain and anguish, but they at once gö to work at the foundation of the disease, which is the blood. Therefore, it will be shown, especially by those who use these Pills, that they will cleanse and purify, that disease that deadly enemy will take its flight and the flush of youth and beauty will again return, and the prospect of a long and happy life will cherish and brighten 79ur days. His dis ease was Consumption, of which nearly all Iiis relatives had died. The circumstances which led to his recovery were as follows: His younger brother wa3 in the habit of reading to him from books about the house to while away his weary hours. One day he read to him from an old book published in .London about the middle of the seventeenth century, of what was styled "A sympel and certain renmeedee for diseases of ye Lungs.' ' Not wholly without hope, and unwilling to leave anything untried which gave promise of relief, the tick and dying man had the prescribed remedies prepared and commenced its use. The result wa3 favorable. In two months he was able to walk ; .bout the premises without difficulty, and in seven months from the time that he commenced its use he was entirely well, and has not been confined a day since. Grateful towards an all-wise providence for lm restoration, ho prescribed it for all in his vicinity who were afilicted with diseases of the lungs and general debility, and in every case it ha3 proved effective. Thoroughly satisfied that it is the only safe and certain cure for Consumption, and wishing to do his fellow bdtngs who are suffering, as much good as possible, he ha3 concluded to send the recipe, with full instructions for putting up and using the medicine, free to all who may order it. In order to defray the expenses of advertising, letterwriting, postage &c.,he requires each applicant for the Recipe to enclose 10 cents and direct to M. DISEASE VANQUISHED BY Roback's Scandinavian Remedies. Dr. imntmriiiTinTi mil r in iiniifiiijiiUijiiii i $ Ii I mt UWIIUUU1' li A FTER YEARS OF STUDY AND EX periment, Dr. Roback, the eminent Swedish Pin sician, succeeded in produdirg a medicine from twenty-three different species of mountain herbs of his native land, which acts directly on the causes of disease m the blood, and by restoring the cor nipted fountain of life, to a condition of health and purity, expels disease from the system, wherever it mav be located, or whatever may be its character. Indigestion, nervous complaints, epileptic and other fits, coughs, consumption in its early stages, sore throat, bronchitis, fever and ajrue, asthma, low spirits, sexual incapacitv, feminine weakness, prick ing of the skin, symptomatic of paralysis, rheumatism, neuralgia, tumor, cancer, diabetes, lassitude and de bilitv, diarrhea, and all other disorders of the organs of respiration, the liver, the kidneys, the stomach, the nerves, or the muscular fibre, are unerringly cured by this preparation. It is to the HATERiES morbi or seeds of disease what an alkali is to an acid: it neutralizes them with absolute cer tainty, while at the same time it regulates the se cretions, removes obstruciions from the bowels, creates appetite, renews bodily vigor, and regenerates every animal function, buch is the nature, such are the enects of Dr. Koback s famoiu Scandma vian Blood Pnrifier, which, if taken in conjunction with his Scandinavian Blood Tills, will not only obliterate the most painful disease, but prevent their recurrence, and lengthen life beyond the ordinary span. In the "Scandinavian Blood Pills," Dr. Roback presents the result of twenty years of experience, hard study and experiment as to what a perfect pill should be. vio one can doubt their superiortv af ter one single trial. Roback: I have received so much benefit from your Scandinavian Blood Purifier and Blood Pills, that I have thought it my duty, and it is no less my inclination, to give you a plain state ment of my case. I was for years afilicted with that bane of all comfort and efficiency in business, dvs pepsia. To recapitulate all the so-called remedies which I have used to rid myself of this disease, would indeed make a melancholy catalogue. 1 also consulted with the best physicians I could hear of. I was induced to try your remedies through the persuasion of a friend, and after using them a few days was greatly benefitted, and in a short time, less than a month, 1 was entirely and permanently cured. I was also afflicted with the most violent nervous headache, wnich I supposa wa3 produced by my disordered stomach, for when my dyspepsia left me, my headache left with it. I now feel bet ter in every respect than I have for ten vears. Very tmly yours, JOHN S DEMUTH. Cincinnati, Friday, Sept. 4, 1657. Dr. Roback Dear Sir: Having been afflicted with neuralgia or rheumatism for the past year and a half, and having seon your medicine, called the Scandinavian Blood Purifier, h'ghly recommended by gentlemen with whom 1 ani acquainted, I was induced te try it, but not before I had used various other medicines.
