Monet Lost and Found Honesty's Reward. Last Tuesday, a gentleman came down on the trai-i fror. L::por:e, and in tin hurry occasioned by changing cars at this place, left hia money purse, containing SJ.05D 00, lying on the seat in the car. He did not miss it until after he had started on the Pittsburgh train; he got off at the first station, and returned to this place on & wood train. He did not search long before he met with Oliver Coppuck, trainboy on the Laporte road, who informed him that he had the money, and immedit 1 ..1 : . 1 TL .1 aieiy .iHi.ueu t er w .uui. n jjeuwcman, with true magnanimity, offered the ' ,,,?, " iit ! boy on, hundred do tars reward, but he ' accepted only fifty. Copland, former editor of thv Xorthtrn Indianian, one day last week. He is quite an agreeable conversationalist, and withal a "pretty good sort of a fellow." He has lately taken unto himsell a wife. Prosperity. We also had a call from Mr. Sarber, Swamp-land Commissioner of Kosciusko County. HU sociable organs are pretty well developed, and is quite a talker. He reports Kosciusko County in a flourishing condition, but think? it will be dryer times as soon as he gets the swamp-lands drained. Look well to your stove pipes winter will soon be hre, and it would possibly eare a great many thousand dollars, by spending a few minutes in cleaning and repairing your stove pipes. The great fire we had last spring should admonish us to use the greatest precautions possible; four fifths of the fires originate from defective stoTa pipes, or from culpable carelessness with ashes.
