Kating ins voice a still higher pitch, he sung, 'J love to steal;' and, as before, he concluded he had got the wrong pitch, and deploring that ho had not got his 'pitch tuner,' he determined to succeed if he died in the attempt. Ry this time all the old ladies were tittering behing their fans, whilst the fa ces of the voungoncs were all in a broad grin. At length, after a desperate couiih, he made a final i demonstration, and roard out, I love to steal.' j This effort was too much; every one but the ! goodly and eccentric parson was laughing.
