Mr. Dean Kauffman underwent an emergency appendectomy on Thursday evening at the Goshen Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Willis Sheley are the parents of a son, born Friday evening at the Goshen Hospital. : .

Mrs. R. T. Kulp was a South Bend shopper on Saturday.

Miss Ida Mae Yoder spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Yoder of Goshen.

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Glick moved to their home near Ligonier on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hochstetler and family of Nappanee . moved Thursday to the farm vacated by the Glicks.

Mr. and Mrs. Ora Bontrager and family moved Thursday to the farm near Goshen of the late Phenas Weaver.

Dr. and Mrs. W. O. Hildebrand returned home Sunday after an extended trip to Texas, California and Arizona.

Mr. Walter Greenawalt left Tuesday for his home in Bradenton, Fla. He was accompanied by Mrs. Ora Kauffman, who will visit her daughter at Oeala, Fla.

Word has been received here of the serious illness of Mrs. Roenza Hostetler, who suffered a stroke early this week and is confined in the St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mr. and Mrs. Williem E. Miller and Elmer Miller left Thurdsay for a ten-day trip to visit their son and brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Miller of Liberty, Texas. The' Millers were former Ligonier residents.

Adrian Geiger, driver of the high school bus, has been ill with pneumonia and his son Charles is substituting as driver.

Albert Maggart, who teaches near LaPorte came home Thursday as his school was closed due to bad roads. :
