r Arrangements have been made for union Good Friday services by ‘the Clinton-Benton twp. churches to be held in the St. Peter’s Lutheran church. An organ prelude by ‘Mrs. Elizabeth Elder of the Luth‘eran church will open the serviceg at 1:15 p.m. The seven sayings of Christ while suspended on the cross will be given as follows: first, Rev. Ivan Ross, Fish Lake ichun_ch; second, Rev. Harvey Nunemaker, Sivler St.; third, Rev. Bevis Cornelius, Benton M. E. and Richville; fourth, Rev. Ralph Petry, Rock Run E. U. B,; fifth, Rev. A. H. Miller, St. Peter’s Lutheran; sixth, Rev. A. H. Worthman, Zion Evangelical and Reformed; seventh, Rev. Ira S. Johns, Clinton Frame. Scripture reading and congregational singing by the various churches will accompany each saying. Rev. John will give the benediction.

An exchange of property took place recently when Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lewallen sold their residence here at the east end of town on State Road 13 to Mr. and Mrs. Dan Larimer, and in turn purchased the Larimer farm home located one-half mile east of U. S. 33 on the old airport road. Possession of either residence will not be take until after a public sale being held by Mr. and Mrs. Larimer, Friday, April 7. Another farm owned by the Larimers five miles West of Millersburg on U. S. 33 has been sold to Mr. and Mrs. Ammon Schrock, who recently returned here from Florida.

In observance of her 76th birthday anniversary, Mrs. Bart Larimer and members of her family were entertained at a dinner Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Larimer of Mishawaka. Others present, were Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Larimer and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hammon of South Bend, Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Larimer of Stone Lake, Wm. Fravey of Elkhart, Danny Woodruff, Mishawaka, Miss Dorothy Meedham of Niles, Mich. and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Scott and daughter Emily of here. ‘

Honors at bridge went to Mrs. Robert Bowlby and Mrs. Max Schwab when the. Luckey Eight Club ‘was entertained at the March meeting by - Mrs. Max Schwab. Mrs, Orville Musselman will be hostess in her country home south of here at the April meeting of the group. :

Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Miller will leave here Saturday on an itinerary that will take them to Los Angeles, Calif.,, where they will visit with old friends formerly of this vicinity. The Millers expect to be gone about 3 weeks.

" Mrs. Louella Blue of Portland, Oregon, is spending some time here visiting her father, E. H. Hockert and friends. After a brief visit in Detroit with relatives, Mrs. Blue will go to San Francisco, Calif. where she has accepted a position and will make her home. . Ay

Miss Lucille Stiver will enter the Goshen hospital Thursday where she will undergo major surgery. . :

Bill McKibbin, who entered the Hines Veteran hospital in Chicago last week, will be under observation for several days before undergoing surgery.

Miss Irene Risner of Indianapolis is spending some time here with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Risner.

Mr. and Mrs. Berlin Larimflgr and family of here and Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Robinson and family of Goshen were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Larimer.

Mothers of the Millersburg Boy Scouts organized here in a recent meeting held in the home of Mrs. Edwin Faust. Officers of the club are: president, Mrs. Faust; sec’y-treas, Mrs. William McGill; reporter Mrs. Percy Troyer. The next meeting will be held in the Faust home Wednesday evening, April 26. o

Bill Mattson has returned from Grand Marias, Mich., where he spent the past few weeks with his father who has been quite ill, '
