Mrs. Gerald Holden and Mrs. Don Crouse ,united in entertaining Wednesday in the home of the latter with a stork shower honoring Mrs. James Ulmer. Contests were enjoyed with prizes going to Mrs. Dale Mclntyre and Mrs. Dwight Yoder, who in turn gave them to the honored guest. Mrs. Uliner received many lovely gifts and the hostesses served dainty refreshments. Those Invited_were the Mesdames Fred, Bernard, Glenn and Burdette Roy, Dwight Yoder, Don Ulmer, Dale Mclntyre, Harry Price, Dal Seagly, Eugene Sponseller, Dick Matthew and the Misses Ruth Roy, Beverly and Barbara Horn, Dolores Hayden and Donna Ulmer.

Mr. and Mrs. William P. Miller were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Miller and Miss Fanny Miller of Middlebury.

Erman B. Yoder has secured the ageney for the Hudson automobile. The Hudson has on the market ‘several models in six and eight cylinders. Mr. Yoder has received a new car for demonstration purposes and the new 1950 mode!s are expected about Nov. 1.

Mr. and Mrs., Walter Greenawalt and daughter Maxine left Friday to make their home in Bradenton, Florida. 5

- Miss Joanna Bowen has been chosen to play the role of Grazia in the Bluffton College production of “Death Takes A Holiday” to be staged in the Bluffton auditorium Nov. 1-2. Miss Bowen, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doa Bowen, . is a junior at Bluffton, majoring in music. She was a member of the student council for two years and is now secretary of the organization. She is also president of the junior class.

Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Yoder, who have spent the past ten days with relatives here, left Saturday for their home in Temple City, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Erman Yoder accompanied them -and will visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Yoder of Arcadia, Calif.

~Dr. K. M. Lehman has installed an x-ray machine in his office and is now equipped to x-ray bones and the chest.

The Home Division met with Mrs. Lester Keefér on Tuesday afternoon with a good crowd present and an interesting lesson on “Make The Most of Your Windows.”

The Gaiety Club met at the home of Mrs, Collette Reed on Monday evening. Prizes were awarded Mrs. Candace Hoover, Mrs. Mary Blanche Kendall and Mrs. Ellen Franks. They will meet with Mrs. Laura Barrett on October 31.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stigner spent Sunday afternoon in Kendallvnille visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Homsher and son John.

Mr. and Mrs. Linville Myers spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. John Nesbitt near Burr Oak, visiting with Dr. and Mrs. Orval Nesbitt of Espanolia, New Mexico, who are spending a few weeks with his parents. ‘

Rev. and Mrs. H. R. Carson of Muncie were Sunday dinner gnests of Rev, and Mrs. Ralph Hemhnd. Rev. Carson delivered the sermon at the worship hour.

A rural carriers meeting was held at the Grange Hall on Saturday evening with fifty-two present. The ladies of the\Grarige served the meal. ‘

. Rev. Pyralal Malagar, an ordained Methodist preacher from India, who is attending Goshen College, will deliver the opening sermon on Sunday evening at the Methodist Church, October 3 beginning a week’s series of meetings. Everyone is invited. There will be special musie each evening.
