“Man” was the subject of the Les-son-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, September 4. The Golden Text was: “There is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding” (Job 32:8). Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was. the following from the Bible: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be gerfect throughl¥ furnished unto all good works” (II Timothy 3: 186, 17). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passage from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “The Science of being reveals man as perfect, even as the Father g‘})erfect, because the Soul, or Mind, of the spiritual man is God, the divine Principle of all being, and because this real man is governed by Soul instead of sense, bfr the law of Spirit r(not é)gé;he so-called laws of matter” p. :
