Mrs. R. T. Kulp and Miss Adah Yoder spent from Friday night until Sunday night at the Roy Dallas cottage on Atwood Lake.
Robert Yoder left Sunday for a two weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. John Gibson of Medford, Mrs. Yoder and her two sons will return home with Mr. Yoder after a six weeks stay with her parents. !
Miss Joanna Bowen, who has spent the summer in settlement work at Harlem, N. Y., returned home the first of the week.
The Topeka Mennonite church enjoyed church services and a picnic on Sunday at Belotes Landing at Howe. Regular Sunday services were held, followed by 2 basket dinner at noon. .
Messrs Harry and Orland Sprunger left Sunday on a business trip to. New York.
Mrs. Harold Zimmerman and daughter Janet are spending the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Gerber.
The Clearspring township Farm Bureau will meet Friday evening, September 2 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Spade. Rev. Vrgil Yoke of the LaGrange Lutheran church will give the devotions. Walter Emmert, Farm Bureau Insurance agent will show colored moving pictures of their trip to California, Among these will be pictures of the Irlin Ulmer and Harlo Greenawalt families of Glendale, Arizona. This will be followed by contests. A cordial invitation is extended to all.
The Book Club will meet Sept. 7 with Mrs. Earl Neufer. Mrs. Ward Johns will review “Aunt Bel” by Guy McCrone.
