Topeka News by Polly Greenawalt Mrs. John Hostetler was the honor guest at a miscellaneous shower given by Mrs. K. M. Lehman at her home on Tuesday evening. Guests were close friends of Mrs. Hostetler, a bride of June. The evening was spent socially knotting a comforter for the honor guest. This was a surprise shower. Mrs. Hostetler has been employed as nurse for Dr. K. M. Lehman the past year but% will leave the last of August to make her home in Pennsylvania.l

Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Kenipp, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur ‘Greenawalt, Mr. and Mrs. Ora Kauffman and daughters, Mrs. Celestia Smith and the Rev. and Mrs. S. S. Heintzleman attended the Yellow Lake Camp Meeting at -Claypool on Sunday. There will be services‘ each day thru-out the week closing Friday. :

Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Yoder and daughters were dinner guests on Friday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Tobe Miller of Middlebury. Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Yoder are sisters and the Millers are leaving soon ifor Florida to. make their permanent home.

Dr. Chandler of Millersburg and Dr. K. M. Lehman of Topeka performed an emergency appendectomy on Audrew Gingerich on Saturday afternoon in the Goshen hospital. ;

Mr. and Mrs. William Wenger and ‘son John of Camden, Mich., were dinner guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bowsher and were over night guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Greenawalt and on Sunday, all attended the Patterson reunion at Bristol.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Yoder of ‘Middlebury have purchaseed the residence of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Yoder and plan to move in the near future.

The Good Fellowship class of the Topeka Mennonite Church enjoyed a picnic on Tuesday evening at Shipshewana Lake.

Rev. and Mrs. Gerald Siiyder and family moved their household goods back to Topeka Saturday. They are spending two weeks at the S. W. Miller cottage at A'twood Lake and will then be at home in the William E. Miller residence and he will be employed as a clerk in the Miller Grocery.l eQe i | .
