“Truth” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of ghrist, Scientist, on Sunday, July 4. 4 The Golden Text was: “Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth” (Psalms 86:11). - : Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: “O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face” (Psalms 89:8, 14). “0 send out thy light and thy truth: let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and )to thy tabernacles” (Psalms 43:3). ' . The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Seriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Truth destroys falsity and error, for light and darkness cannot dwell together. Light extinguishes the darkness, and the Seripture declares that there is ‘no night there’” (p. 474). “Christian Science brings to the body the sunlight of Truth, which invigorates and purifies” (p. 162).
