'The Golden Chain Literary Society met on Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ward Johns. A Mennonite Youth Fellowship team from Penna, 111., and Ohio sent out by the relief committee of the Mission Board had charge of the program.
The Misses Ida and Mary Yoder went to Chicago on Wednesday where they attended the Railroad Fair.
Mrs. Robert Yoder and sons Dennis and Bob accompanied her parents to their home in Medford, Mass., for an indefinite time. Mr. and Mrs. John Gibson had spent the past week with their daughter and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Troyer and family of Appleton, Wisconsin, spent several days with Mrs. Sophia Troyer and the Don Bowen and William Turner families.
Mr. and Mrs. Schuyler Pletcher announce the . engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Dona Jean, to Richard Martin of Woodburn. Miss Pletcher ‘is a graduate of Topeka high school and also attended Goshen College. Mr. Martin is a Senior at I. U. The wedding will take place September 3.
