To the Taxpayers of Ligonier School City, Noble County, Indiana: : You are hereby ?otified that upon the 17th day of May, 1949, that the Board of School Trustees of the School City of Ligonier, Noble County, Indiana, by resolution duly adopted and pursuant to notice theretofore given .and under and by virtue of Chapter 57, of the Acts of the 84th General Assembly of the State of Indiana, approved February 27, 19456, as amended, duly adopted a plan whereby a cumulative fund be provided for the erection of new school buildings or the
remodeling of old school buildingsl in said School City, and that such a fund be provided for by a tax levy of 10 cents on each $lOO.OO of assessed valuation on all property in that taxing district taxable for such purposes. Such tax to be assessed beginnthg with the levy for 1949, payable in 1950, and annually thereafter for a total period of not to exceed 12 years as provided by said act. That pursuant to said Aect, any 10 or more taxpayers in the taxing district of Ligonier School City, Noble County, Indiana, other than those who pay Poll Tax only, may file a petition with the County Auditor of Noble County, Indiana, not later than 10 days after this publication, setting forth their objections to suc proposed levy. Mr. Dail Seagly returned home Thursday from the St. Joseph hospital in Fort Wayne after undergoing surgery about ten days ago.
Mrs. Dan Oesch returned home Saturday from Goshen hospital where she was confined the past week following surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Curley and daughter Ruth spent Sunday and Monday with their daughters, the Lawrence Stout family and the Lynn Sprunger family.
Messrs. Lynn Sprunger, Abe Hostetler and Ernest Fahling spent Saturday near Coldwater, Mich., on a fishing trip. /
Mr. J. E. Blough has accepted a position with the Priest Lumber Company, and started work Monday morning. Mr. Blough had been regular mail carrier on route 2 for 7 years and was replaced by Robert Sutton, a veteran of World War 11. .
Decendants of the Solomon Lantz family met at the Topeka high school on June 26 for their annual reunion.
Mr. Sherman Morgan of Akron, Ohio, spent Tuesday with Miss Adah Yoder.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greenawalt of Alamosa, Colorado, were overnight guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Greenawalt- and on Sunday, were* guests at a family dinner at the Frank Greenawait home in LaGrange.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Greenawalt and son Ronnie of Goshen and James Greenawalt and daughter Polly enjoyed a picnic at Weber’s landing, Etwood Liake, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lumm and sons of North Manchester were over night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Greenawalt Saturday, and on Sunday, all attended the wedding of Ruth Lumm and Donald Sorg at the LaGrange Chureh of God. - - e

The Mother’s Club met Monday evening, June 22, with Mrs. Francis Hooley.
Dr. and Mrs. K. M. Lehman attended a dinner and benefit dance at Waco on Friday evening. Proceeds were used for the Goshen hospital.
A number of young people attended the Indiana and Michigan Literary Convention at Middlebury gymnasium on Saturday and Sunday. .
