Mr. Dail Seagly, who underwent surgery on Thursday morning at the St. Joe hospital in Fort Wayne, is recovering nicely and will probably be released by the last part of the week. :
The first Band Concert of the season started on Saturday evening, June 11. The band is under the direction of Mr. Sam Law, musical director of the Topeka high school. s
Miss Dena Yoder, a student at Blufftgn College, spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Yoder, and on Saturday morning, left for Farnhurst, Del.,, where she has accepted employment in a mental hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Sprunger and family spent Sunday at the Camp Meeting in Anderson, Ind.
Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Kempp and Mrs. Celestia Smith left Friday to attend the Camp Meeting at Anderson, Ind. Others attending part of this week are Rev. and Mrs. S. S. Heintzleman, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Greenawalt and Mrs. T. O. Nelson.

William Dick Davidson, a former Topeka resident, died Wednesday afternoon at. his home in Fort Myers, Florida. His body was returned to the Caton and Frurip Funeral Home, where services were held Sunday afternoon, with burial in Sloan cemetery. His wife, Edith, of Fort Myers, Florida, and a daughter, Mary Catherine of Wilmington, Del., survive him.
Mrs. Roy Dallas accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Sthair to Bloomington, where their son and nephew were graudated from the Indiana - University School of Medicine. '
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bently and daughter of Harrisburg, Pa., are here for an indefinite time with Dr. and Mrs. W. R. Horn and other relatives. -
~ Mrs. Gain Streeter, who has been ill for several weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fought is much improved and returned to her home at Wolcottville on Sunhday.
The 52nd annual Greenawalt reunion met on Sunday, June 12 at the Topeka high school with nearly 125 present. Those from a distance came from Sanford, Colorado, Cassoplis, Wayland and Niles, Miih., Goshen, Kendallville, Elkhart,, LaGrange and Van Wert, Ohio. Frank Greenawalt was elected president, Mrs. Harry Shilts, secretary, and Mr. Elmer Greenawalt, treasurer. "
Mrs. .Harry Price is in Nappanee with her sister, Mrs. Roy Ruckman, helping to care for Mr. Ruckman, who recently suffered a stroke. : :

Miss Joanna Bowen, who has been .a student at Bluffton, Ohio,i has volunteered to do mission work in Harlem, N. Y. for the summer. A group of 20 students will conduct Bible School, Music and Recreation for the summer months. Haxlem js well-known as the Negro settlement in New York City. :
Mrs. Grant Mardis of Forsythe, Montana, is here for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Dail Seagly and other relatives. Earl Blough of New York, a brother, attended a class reunion on Sunday and came to Topeka for a visit with the Seaglys, Mrs. Mardis, and another sister, Mrs, Sam Rowan. |

the community, will begin June 20 and run until the 30th. Children from three to sixteen years of age inclusive will be welcome. Classes will be held from 9 until 11 o’clock each day. |
A group of Elkhart township Home Economics Club members: enjoyed a sight-seeing trip to Detroit last Friday. Points of interest were Greenfield Village and the Home Furnishings at Hudson’s Store. The ladies ate dinner in Canada and returned via Jackson, Michigan, and view the Cascades night lights. The trip was made by bus.
