Christian Science 411 Lincolnway West Church Services at 11 A. M. “Mortals and Immortals” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, May 15. . The Golden Text was: “This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” (I Corinthians 15:53). Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (I Peter 1:22, 23). The Lesson-Sermon also included ‘the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Seience and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Truth will be to us ‘the resurreetion and the life’ only as it destroys all error and the belief that Mind, the only immortality of man, can be fettered by the body, and Life be controlled by death” (p. 292). “Immortal man is not and never was material, but always spiritual and eternal” (p. 336).

China’s Yellow River

Some of it goes to replenish worn lands on the great plain. Most of it however, goes to the sea — an average of 1§ million cubic feet annually.

THERE’S the smile when you slip the selector lever into Driving notch—and realize that’s all there is to do. There’s the smile when you swing smoothly up to cruising speed without halt or check or break of stride. There’s the smile at traffic lights when you halt, wait, then move away with never a thought about shifting. But the broadest grin of all comes at the end of a long day’s drive and you find you’ve covered more miles more easily. Even your treadle-foot — so likely to become tired and cramped maintaining an even speed in direct-drive cars—appreciates the fluid ease of Dynaflow. For Dynaflow Drivet is not merely a new transmission. It’s a new experience — a new luxury in driving. In ten minutes you are handling it
