On April 27, Brownie Troop 9 held their meeting at the Tourist Park, all nineteen members being present, ‘
Two teams were formed and a Nature Treasure Hunt conducted, with the teams coming out about even. The treat was served by Judy Sprague. ; Plans were made to hold another Treasure Hunt and a Cook-Out at the next meeting, with Barbara Staton as hostess.
The King’s Daughters will meet Tuesday, May 10 in the home of Mrs. Arnold Schaap with Miss Elva Foote as co-hostess.
Judy and Mike Seniff, children of Mr. and Mrs. John Seniff, spent last week end in South Bend visiting their grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Seniff, e O e Mr. and Mrs. Sam Dibert, Devil’s Lake, N. The Senior girls were guests of honor at a May Day Breakfast in Mrs. Linder’s Tea Room, Kendallville, given by the Business and Professional Women’s Club last Sunday morning. A warm greeting was extended to the girls by Mrs. Stanley Long, first vicepresident of the club, followed by a personal interview of each senior girl by Mrs. F. A. Churchill. The tables were attractively decorated with spring flowers and each place marked by tiny Maypoles. This breakfast is an annual affair given by the club.
Mrs. Wayland Spears, Mrs. Jessie Kirkland and Mrs. M. J. Hull entertained twenty-eight guests with a dinner party in Koon’s Restaurant last Thursday evening. Following the dinner, bridge was played in the home of Mrs. Spears, Prize winners included Mrs. Leland Thompson and Mrs. James B. Schutt. Table prizes were won by Mrs. Dail Seagly, Mrs. Leo Kerner, Mrs. Josephine Shobe, Mrs. Leland Calbeck, Mrs. Ray Loy, Mrs. Helene Freeman and Mrs. Gladya Starr.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Law and son Charles will leave for a three weeks’ vacation in Missouri Saturday morning. They will visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Sipple, Laddonia, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Law of Canton, Mo.

Mr. Everett Eversole entertained with a surprise dinner party at Don’s Place, Sunday evening in honor of Mrs. Eversole, who was observing her birthday anniversary. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Paul Christman, Wakarusa, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clevenger, Miss _ Susan Klink, Syracuse, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ferguson. Following the dinner, the guests played bridge in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ferguson. Prize winners were ‘Miss’ Susan Klink and Paul Christner.

and took them to visit the school. The third grade enjoyed coloring their May Baskets and will be looking to see the real thing during the summer flowering. Barnyard animals will be the drawings ‘which are now taking their time and thought. Howard Moser, Sharon Batten, and Kermit Leamon earned headmarks in spelling in the fourth grade during the last three weeks. ~ The boys in the fifth grade had perfect atiendance last week.
