Dr. and Mrs. K. M. Lehman and daughters were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Lehman of Goshen.

Mrs. Ralph Shearer of Goshen entertained her pinochel club on Friday evening at her home.

Mrs. Henry Grabill and Mrs. Ervin Miller of Goshen were Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dan E. Yoder.

Recent births are a daughter, Jeanette Elaine, to Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Schrock; and a son, Daniel, to Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lehman.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Bowen called on Mr. and Mrs. Charles Howe of Kendallville Sunday. Mrs. Howe will be better remembered as Neva Bushong, formerly LaGrange County Nurse.

"David Oplinger, student of Moody Bible Institute, came Wednesday for a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Oplinger. His sister Nancy, a student nurse at Oak Park, 111., was a week end guest in the Oplinger home. ;

Mrs. Gain Streeter remains in a serious condition at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fought.

Miss Fannie Miller was a dinner guests Sunday of Mr .and Mrs. William P. Miller.

Mrs. James Ulmer is ill at the home of her mother, Mrs. Dessie Roy. '

The Book Club will meet on May 4 with Mrs. Rollin Kent, Mrs. Garth Stoltz will review “We Gather Together.” '

The Mother’s Club met on Monday evening with Mrs., Verlo Christner. :

Recent officers elected at the Baptist Missionary Society were president, Mrs. William Danes; vice-presidentt, Mrs. Neal Fisher; secretary, Mrs. George Emmert; and treasurer, Mrs. Edward Sheley. : ~

Dr. and Mrs. W. R. Horn spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Homm and son of Cannelton, Indiana.

Dan A. Yoder returned home last week following a major operation at the Elkhart General Hospital. : v ;

Senior activities start on May 1 with Baccalaureate Services at the Topeka Mennonite Church at 2:30, May 1. Class night is on May 2nd at the Hall, and Commencement on May 3. There will be a Senior breakfast at the Quin Jones home. The Seniors with Mrs. Ward Johns and Charles Miller as sponsors will leave on their trip May 4. They are taking a boat trip from Detroit, seeing Niagra Falls and Toronto, Canada. There are 23 ‘Seniors with Ernest Hostetler as valedictorian, and two tying for salutatorian, Ruby Glick and Sharon Adeline,

Rev. Wayne Yeater is spending a week with friends in New York City.

Miss Beth Elaine Hoover, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Buryl E. Hoover of Wawaka, recently became the bride of Russell L. Young, who resided at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Gillie, 855 Edgewater Avenue, Fort Wayne, in the Wawaka Church of the Brethren. 2 :

The bride’s father, pastor of the church, read the double-ring ceremony and ‘gave his daughter in marriage.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Goings and family of Laketon were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lower.

Mrs. Georgia Leavitt, who has been sick at the home of her son, hasn’t been feeling very wel: the past few weeks.

Mrs. Retta Billman of Coldwater, Mich.,, and Mrs. Nellie Lieghty of Allegan have been visiting Mrs. Elmer Magnuson.

Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Hooten attended the Rural Carrier’s Banquet at Kendallville on Friday evening. !

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thompson and Mrs. Harry Lindsey and son of Elkhart were Thursday guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Kellner.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hile and family, who have been living with her mother, Mrs. Grace Haid, have moved to Kendallville.

Mr, Herbert Haun left for Detroit on Monday where he will spend some itime. :
