Ed Sisterhen was the guest of honor at a surprise birthday party given by Mrs. Louis Sisterhen and her daughters last Sunday afternoon in observance of his ninetieth birthday. 'After taking a drive, Mr. and Mrs, Sisterhen were taken to the home of their daughter-in-law where some twenty-five guests had assembled. Ice cream, cake and coffee were served. .~ Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Burt Sisterhen, Goshen; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Rothrock, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Rothrock, Elkhart; Mrs. E. O. . Stroup, Mrs. Charles Stroup, Millersburg, and Mrs. Eleanor lavagnilio, Mishawaka. Mrs. Earl Raber entertained the ladies of St. Patrick’s Sodality with a fish dinner in her home Monday evening, March 27. Following the dinner, a business meeting was held at which plans were made for a bake sale to be held May 7. The meeting was closed by the saying of the Rosary. Catherin Davidson was cohostess. . .
