Members of the Topeka Baptist Church hg}d a reception and shower on Thursday evening for their new Pastor, Rev. R. L. Emory in the Church basement. A carry-in dinner was enjoyed by all. .

‘Mr. Sam Law, music instructor at the Topeka School entered 6 groups in the District Musical contest on Saturday afternoon at the Harrison Hill school in Fort Wayne. They were placed first in a viola solo; Sophomore Octette vocal ensemble, and violin quartette; they were placed second in a trumpet trio, clarinet quartette and a boys vocal quartette.

Messrs. Dail Seagly, Kelsey Kent, Vernon Martin, Roy Christner and Don Ulmer attended an Allis Chalmers School at LaPorte on Monday. )

DOMER — HORN . ‘ Miss Margaret Domer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Domer of Rome City, and James Horn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Horn were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Brethren parsonage in Wawaka. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. B. E. Hoover.

The bride was attired in a beige two-piece effect dress, and wore a shoulder corsage of yellow talisman roses as part of her accessories. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Fred Fisher, who wore a light blue dress with black accessories and her shoulder corsage was of pink roses. : (

The bridegroom wore a brown suit and was attended by Lester Guilford of Defiance, Ohio, only witnesses to the marriage were Mrs. Lester Guilford and Fred Fisher. e '

The wedding party enjoyed™a dinner at the Publix in Kendailville following the ceremony. The couple have gone to housekeeping at their newly furnished home on Harrison Street.

While putting in a vault at the Metz Cemetery mnear Washington Center, Thursday, two men stole the 1949 car of Richard Maggart, and were later apprehended in the vehicle by the State Police near Auburn. :
