Mrs. Mae Germise who has been staying at Mrs. J. N. Stephen’s home fell on the ice Saturday afternoon while on her way home from town. She fractured her hip and was taken to the Methodist hospital in Fort Wayne where she will undergo surgery.

Mrs. George Swartzlander, who has been ill for some time, was taken on Friday to the McCray hospital in Kendallville and on Satufda'y, underwent surgery for a bowel observation,

Mr. Eb Keim was brought to his home Saturday after six weeks in the LaGrange county hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schlaback are the parents of a daughter, Ruth Elaine, born Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Goshen hospital.
